Big ideas, bold connections and building legacies come together at Birmingham’s fifth annual Black Business Conference.
The Birmingham Black Business Conference returns to the Legacy Centre of Excellence for a powerful day of inspiration, learning, networking and new opportunities.
Entrepreneurs, business leaders, creatives, professionals, investors, innovators and changemakers will come together to exchange ideas, build valuable connections and explore ways to develop successful and sustainable businesses.
This year’s headline speaker is Her Excellency Ambassador Dr Arikana Chihombori, the former African Union Ambassador to the African Diaspora and president and founder of the African Diaspora Development Institute.
A medical doctor, diplomat, entrepreneur, author and educator, Dr Chihombori has dedicated her career to strengthening connections between Africa and its global diaspora, creating opportunities and amplifying African voices internationally.
Throughout the day, visitors can hear practical business advice, meet experienced professionals and connect with other people who are starting, developing or investing in businesses.
The programme will explore subjects including preparing a business for investment, buying and investing in property in the UK and overseas, international business visas and immigration, banking in Africa and the Caribbean, and opportunities within emerging African markets.
A drop-in business clinic will provide free one-to-one guidance from experienced business advisers. Entrepreneurs will also have an opportunity to showcase their ideas through a pitching competition, with a £1,000 prize available to the winner.
Whether you are an established business owner, an aspiring entrepreneur, a professional, an investor or someone with an idea you would like to develop, the conference offers an opportunity to gain knowledge, meet like-minded people and discover new possibilities.
Businesses interested in exhibiting at the conference or taking part in the free one-to-one business clinic should contact the organisers.
