Celebrating Black Excellence in Leadership, Careers and Entrepreneurship
University of Wolverhampton students are invited to a special Black History Month event celebrating excellence in leadership, career development and entrepreneurship, designed to raise aspirations and inspire students to achieve their ambitions.
Black Excellence in Leadership forms part of the University of Wolverhampton’s Black History Month 2026 programme and will bring students together for an hour focused on achievement, ambition and future opportunities.
The event will explore three important areas — leadership, career development and entrepreneurship — encouraging students to consider their own ambitions and the steps they can take towards achieving them.
Raising Aspirations
The event aims to inspire students to think confidently about their future careers and recognise the opportunities available to them.
Black History Month provides an important opportunity not only to recognise the achievements and contributions of Black people, but also to encourage the next generation of leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and changemakers.
Through a focus on Black excellence, the session will encourage students to consider what leadership means, how careers can be developed and how entrepreneurial thinking can create new opportunities.
Inspiring Future Leaders
Seeing and celebrating Black achievement can help students recognise what is possible in their own lives.
Black Excellence in Leadership places aspiration at the heart of the event, encouraging students to develop confidence in their abilities, think positively about their futures and pursue their goals.
The event is aimed specifically at University of Wolverhampton students.
