Manchester Central Library turns up the music for a special family rave celebrating Black History Month.
Families are invited to get their dancing shoes on and enjoy an afternoon built around a specially curated Black History Month playlist.
The event offers children, parents and carers an informal and energetic way to celebrate Black music and culture together.
From African and Caribbean sounds to the music influenced by Black artists across generations, the afternoon provides a family-friendly introduction to the enormous contribution Black creativity has made to popular music.
The event takes place in the Performance Space at Manchester Central Library and forms part of the Library Live cultural programme.
It is suitable for families and children of different ages.
The event runs from 2pm to 4pm.
Admission is free.
No advance booking is required – simply drop in.
Visitors who wish to support the Library Live cultural programme can make a voluntary donation at the library.
