African Drumming Workshop, Redditch

Fri, 20 September 19:30 – 20:45

Come and experience the joy of playing drums with the inspirational Sarah Westwood of PrimalSound. You will get expert tuition – and lots of laughs. Drumming is accessible, loud and extremely uplifting. You will learn traditional West African rhythms on Djembe hand drums and Dundun bass drums, building up the elements to create an exhilarating piece of music. If you joined us in February, you will learn new rhythms. No experience necessary.

Drumming is lively, powerful, brain expanding and very good for you – it lowers stress, increases immunity & helps you be ‘in the moment’ – mindfulness at its most FUN!

Sarah has taught West African drumming for over 20 years in organisations, community groups and schools across the UK.

Event Notes: Do wear comfy clothes, preferably trousers, as you will have a drum between your knees! And protect your ears if you have sensitive hearing. Drums are provided.

There is plenty of free parking at the venue.

There is no need to print your ticket (let’s save the trees) – I will have a list of all those who have booked.
