LAMBETH HERITAGE FESTIVAL & WORLDS COCOA & FARMERS DAY

On 30th September, as part of the Lambeth Heritage Festival, we’ll be celebrating World Cocoa & Farmers Day and the diverse community in Lambeth with a special talk about the history of hot chocolate focusing on the relations between Britain, West Africa, and the Caribbean. Referencing works and beliefs of physicians and historians since the 17th century, it will illustrate the different uses and health benefits of cocoa. Jamaican cocoa tea will be served from 4 pm.
