Black Eats Festival – Black History Month Weekend

Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th October 2026

Black Eats Festival returns for a special Black History Month weekend celebrating Black-owned businesses, food, music and creativity.

Presented by Black Eats LDN, the festival has become a popular platform for independent Black-owned food and lifestyle businesses while offering visitors an opportunity to discover flavours from across Africa, the Caribbean and the wider diaspora.

Food has always played an important role in migration and cultural identity. Recipes and ingredients travel with communities, adapting to new environments while retaining connections with family, history and place.

Across the weekend, visitors can explore a wide selection of food traders serving dishes inspired by different regions and traditions alongside drinks, retail businesses, music and live DJs.

The festival also creates valuable opportunities for Black-owned businesses to reach new customers and build their profile within London’s wider food and creative industries.

Taking place at Hackney Bridge, the event offers an informal and family-friendly way to participate in Black History Month 2026 while directly supporting independent businesses.

Whether visiting to discover new food, shop from Black-owned brands or simply enjoy the atmosphere, Black Eats Festival provides a lively celebration of entrepreneurship, culture and community.
