Having released forward-facing tracks on labels such as Benji B’s new label One Level, Branko’s Enchufada and Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, Hagan is known for delivering Afro-Bass, tight-knit percussive energy to his music. With a palette of world sounds at his disposal, Hagan’s work has enabled him to release his music and remixes on various labels, with a track collaboration on Sango’s Da Rocinha 4 album for Soulection entitled ‘Espírito Santo’. Hagan’s EP release on Gobstopper, ‘Waves’, is a deep sonic representation of the evolution of his sound, resonating with peers who are taking ownership of their blackness through sound on a global level. Balancing both his darker and lighter sound palettes, Hagan’s latest release on Benji B’s new label, One Level, is a fine blend of cultural sounds and rhythms where infectious bass lines and melodies intersect. His latest EP ‘Forward Focus’ signifies Hagan’s continuous aim to develop his unique take on Black electronic music, working with musicians for an enriched combination of live and electronic textures.
