Family History Day – Paul Crooks

Sat 12 May 2018 10:30 – 13:00

Family History Day with special guest speaker, Paul Crooks

What secrets lie in your past? Find out how your local library can help you to trace your family’s history. We begin our day with Paul Crooks, one of the UK’s leading Black historians. Paul has traced his family history back two hundred years and can help you get started with uncovering your family history. He advised Moira Stewart on the BBC’s “Who do you think you are?” and has a lot of invaluable experience in tracing Black ancestry. Our own in-house experts from Lewisham’s Local History and Archives Centre will be on hand to explain how we can get you further, faster. Why not start using Ancestry.com straight away? It’s free to use in Lewisham Library.
