Dashehra Diwali Parade, Lantern Making

Join Manchester Central Library in celebrating the 10th Dashehra Diwali Mela – a spectacular celebration of the festivals of Dashehra and Diwali.

Manchester Library and Information Service invites children and families to take part in an artist-led workshop to make the fantastic lanterns that will be part of the Festival of Light procession on 17 October.

Please select 1 workshop to attend.
Please choose 1 ticket per small family group (each group will make a lantern).
The workshops are for participants who can attend the Diwali lantern parade event on the evening of Saturday 17 October.
Workshops limited to 20 tickets per date only. Please cancel your ticket if you are unable to attend.
Please arrive promptly at 2pm to ensure you have the full time to make your lantern.
Suitable for children from 7yrs
Children must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times

Notes
Lanterns will be stored at the library until the parade when they can be reclaimed.
Lanterns can be taken home after the 17th.
