Four artists from across the North of England come together at Aviva Studios for an evening celebrating the continuing influence of Black Diasporic creativity.
Curated by Azora, Factory Remix: Call and Response brings live music, poetry, spoken word and performance together in a programme exploring how Black artistic traditions are constantly reinterpreted by new generations.
The evening features Ghanaian-English guitarist, composer and producer Rory A. Green, whose work combines acoustic instrumentation with synthesis, layered sound and rhythm.
Manchester-based artist and producer Lei Hope brings his blend of indie and alternative R&B, while poet and performance artist Sophia Harari combines spoken word with sound, voice and movement.
Bradford-born vocalist and MC Ty Untold completes the line-up, drawing on alternative rap, nu metal and rave influences.
Together, the artists reflect the range and creativity of contemporary Black and mixed-heritage music and performance in the North.
The event forms part of Aviva Studios’ Black History Month programme and celebrates the way Black Diasporic art continues to shape contemporary music and culture.
The event begins at 7pm and has a running time of approximately three hours.
Tickets are free, but advance booking is required.
