Native Dancer have been hailed as ‘the new troubadours of psychedelic soul” (Stamp The Wax) wowing audiences at the likes of Love Supreme Festival & the Southbank’s Jazz Re:Fest. The band blend a kaleidoscopic mix of influences into infectious & synth-laden grooves that perfectly back Friday Touray’s soulful & emotive vocals. We loved their incredible EPs Vol. I & II so much that we’re releasing both EPs on wax this April – the release will also feature a remix of ‘Big Blue’ by none other than Eric Lau. More news on this soon!
Native Dancer’s talent has led to an invite to prestigious music industry gathering SXSW in March, and we hear that they’re back in the studio soon to record their debut LP. Expect to hear much more from this lot in 2017.
In support we have exciting Manchester 4-piece Plume rounding off a line-up of high calibre live electronica.
On the decks we’re joined by Yadava of eclectic Afro, Latin, Funk, Soul & Disco crew So Flute to spin a selection of premium beats in-between sets.
“Native Dancer are a refreshing burst of imagination, uniqueness & purpose in a crowded electro-fusion landscape.” Afropunk
