An Evening With… Jamal Edwards MBE

Tuesday 30 November 2021

Award winning entrepreneur Jamal Edwards MBE takes part in an insightful online Q&A.

Join us for ‘An Evening With… Jamal Edwards MBE’, the second instalment in our 2021-22 free to attend public lecture series.

The University of Bedfordshire is always looking to champion local stars, and is therefore delighted to host Luton-born entrepreneur, campaigner and writer Jamal Edwards for a fascinating and thoughtful Q&A.

Jamal is best known for founding SBTV, a trailblazing online music and culture platform. He is also a number one bestselling author and was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his work in the music industry. Also an ambassador for the Department of Education’s ‘Fire It Up’ campaign, Jamal’s involvement with helping young people find work opportunities is an inspiring aspect of his career.

It is these experiences that Jamal will draw upon during conversation with the event’s hosts, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Church and members of the Beds SU Exec Team, Laura Tamara and Catalina Nita. All those interested in music, show business, community work and fashion are sure to find the Q&A a gripping event.
