Dr Jason Arday – Tackling Racial Inequality in Higher Education

Sat, 27 Mar 2021, 19:30 GMT

Dr Arday didn’t speak until 11 nor read until 18 but achieved a Phd before 30! He now uses his platform to help others achieve their dreams.

BLAKPAK SUCCESS SECRETS will be in conversation with Dr Jason Ardy, the Deputy Executive Dean for People and Culture and an Associate Professor in Sociology at Durham University.

Publications includes: Dismantling Race in Higher Education, Cool Britannia and Multi-Ethnic Britain, and he’s the author of The Black Curriculum report which states that ‘Teaching Black history not only benefits Black students but is beneficial to British society as a whole’.

By the age of 30 and over a 12-year period Jason earned 5 degrees and raised 1million pounds for charity.

Remarkable by any standards when you realise that he did not learn to speak before the age of 11 and was age 18 when he began reading and writing. Jason’s deep desire to work for others coupled with the use of his academic platform to provide opportunities for Black students to explore their dreams makes compulsive and motivational listening and offers much learning.
