Ibram X Kendi: How To Be An Antiracist

Tuesday 7th March

Ibram X Kendi, author of the bestselling book, How To Be an Antiracist, will join Owen Jones for a special livestreamed event.

First published in 2019, How To Be an Antiracist demolishes the idea of a post-racial society. In confronting his own racism, Kendi shows how we can all be complicit in maintaining racist structures. This powerful memoir and political guide asserts that it is not enough to be ‘not racist’ – rather, progressive movement demands action: a commitment to being antiracist.

Out now in a new revised paperback edition, the book has sold over 1m copies worldwide, and helped to mobilise a movement. In 2020, Time magazine named Kendi one of the world’s most influential people.

Join Kendi and Jones for a wide-ranging conversation – from the subject of reparations to the Black Lives Matter movement to the steps that will lead us to a more just and equitable society. They will also be answering your questions.
