Let’s Talk with Robbie from AFTV!

Sunday 6th November

We will be spending an evening with Robbie where he will take us through his meteoric rise from London-based Surveyor to the Face of AFTV

We have a rare and unique opportunity to talk with Robbie Lyle, the face of AFTV, LIVE on Zoom in the Vibes Music Lounge.

The Speaker

Robbie Lyle, Founder and CEO of Global Fan Network, is a businessman, entrepreneur and media personality.

He is perhaps best known for being the face of AFTV (previously known as Arsenal Fan TV), which is just one of many Global Fan Network channels that also includes DR Sports, a channel that takes on the issues of the day in a multitude of global sports such as Boxing and Formula 1.

He describes his channels as being fan-first, where fans receive a voice in a sports broadcasting world that traditionally delivered outdated opinions and predictable commentary. His approach was to take ownership of the pre and post-match conversation from broadcasters with views from genuine, passionate fans. His approach has now been replicated by fans of other clubs.

He believes fan democracy is the future of sports broadcasting.

Robbie is one of the only black personalites to own a successful media company in UK sport. He has frequently appeared on national media platforms such as BBC, ITV and Talksport. He is also active in his community and delivers talks at educational institutions.

He also pursued a career in music and his single ‘Proud to be Black’ reached number 1 in the UK Reggae charts.
