Romance Fiction Masterclass with award-winning writer Maame Blue

Saturday 4 December - Sunday 5 December 2021

Are you struggling to make your characters compelling? Do you want to raise the romantic stakes – and quality – in your writing?

Award-winning author Maame Blue (Bad Love) will inspire you to write romance fiction that is full of complex characters and relationships in this intensive and practical online masterclass.

Maame Blue will take you through close readings of acclaimed contemporary romance novels and intensive writing exercises that will help you better understand the genre, write great characters, and create your own piece of romantic fiction.

This online masterclass takes place Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2021, 11am – 1pm.

This masterclass also includes a creative writing assignment; there will be an opportunity to submit this assignment to Maame for feedback at the end of Day Two.

Words of Colour is committed to the development of writers of colour. That means this creative writing workshop is for people of colour, i.e. people of Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, Mixed-Heritage, Latinx or Indigenous descent.
