AgriFuture Forum 2026

Thursday 22nd October 2026

AgriFuture Forum 2026 brings together leaders, professionals, students and changemakers from across the agri-food, veterinary and environmental sectors for a day dedicated to championing diversity, inclusion and opportunity. Taking place at Rich Mix in East London during Black History Month 2026, the forum will explore how these industries can become more representative of the communities they serve while benefiting from a broader range of experiences, perspectives and talent.

Organised by the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), the British Veterinary Ethnicity and Diversity Society (BVEDS) and Culture Roots Collective, the event continues a shared commitment to creating workplaces where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, valued and able to thrive. Through keynote speakers, panel discussions and lived-experience conversations, delegates will examine the challenges facing ethnically diverse professionals while identifying practical ways to build more inclusive organisations across agriculture, food production, veterinary science and environmental careers.

Throughout the day, attendees will hear directly from professionals from the Global Majority, who will share their personal journeys, experiences and ideas for creating lasting change across their industries. The programme will explore topics including leadership, representation, career development, education, innovation and community engagement, highlighting the importance of ensuring that future generations can see themselves reflected across every part of the sector.

A special feature of this year’s event is the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the British Veterinary Ethnicity and Diversity Society (BVEDS). Following the forum, delegates are invited to attend an anniversary reception and networking event, providing an opportunity to celebrate a decade of work supporting greater diversity within the veterinary profession while building new professional connections across the wider agri-food community.

The day will also see the presentation of the inaugural AgriFuture Awards, recognising outstanding individuals from the Global Majority who have made significant contributions to agriculture, veterinary medicine, food production and environmental sustainability. The awards celebrate inspiring role models whose leadership, innovation and commitment continue to encourage positive change across their professions.

As conversations around sustainability, food security and environmental responsibility continue to shape the future of the UK, AgriFuture Forum 2026 highlights the importance of ensuring that these sectors benefit from the widest possible range of voices, experiences and expertise. By bringing together industry leaders, educators, employers and emerging professionals, the forum aims to inspire collaboration while creating practical pathways towards a more inclusive future.

Whether you work within agriculture, veterinary medicine, conservation, education, food production or simply have an interest in creating more equitable and representative industries, AgriFuture Forum 2026 offers an inspiring day of discussion, networking and celebration during Black History Month 2026.
