Instrumentalist/composer/teacher Orphy Robinson brings together a team of the city’s finest improvisers to forge a distinctly British response to the AACM vision. This massive gathering of muscians includes Byron Wallen, Jason Yarde, Rowland Sutherland, Nubya Garcia, Jerome Harper, Andy Grappy, Phillip Achille, Corey Mwamba, Doug Boyle, Nikki Yeoh, John Edwardsand the great South African drummer Louis Moholo-Moholo and spoken word/vocal artists HKB Finn, Cleveland Watkiss, Lisa Lore (NuBluz Aesthete).

Together, they’ll form the tHE SPonTANeoUS CoSMic RAwXtra to play specially commissioned arrangements from Orphy Robinson, with visuals by SDNA, that will breathe a distinctively London energy into the AACM legacy.
This is the second of  three distinct events to celebrate this legacy taking place on Saturday 14 November at the EFG London Jazz Festival.
