A host of London’s top vocalists celebrate the giants of jazz singing, from Billie to Ella, from Peggy Lee to Julie London, from Nina to Sarah Vaughan. A night of swinging jazz and classic songs accompanied by the Alex Webb trio.

Francesca Mondi

This classically-trained singer of Italian origin started her musical journey singing opera before settling on an exciting blend of standards from the American songbook, Brazilian samba, Bossa nova and some original compositions. Francesca was featured by Nigel Williams on Jazz Fm and Giles Peterson Worldwide for her lead vocals on the track ‘Southern Freez’ and her EP was showcased on ‘BBC Radio London Introducing’. She has a Masters degree in Jazz Performance at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama..

Alex Webb

Alex Webb is a songwriter, arranger and pianist. His songs have been recorded by jazz singers China Moses, Mina Agossi, Sandra Nkake, Liane Carroll, Allan Harris, Alexia Gardner and Alexander Stewart, among others. His show ‘Cafe Society Swing’ has enjoyed several theatre runs in London and one in New York, where he received the New York Times ‘Critic’s Pick’.
