Afriquoi are renowned for their unique fusion of live African instrumentation and UK electronic music, combining Congolese guitar, Gambian kora and Mandinka percussion with influences from house, garage, disco, soul and jungle. Their dynamic 5-piece live show delivers an uplifting, dancefloor-driven sound that has earned them a dedicated global following.
Formed in London in 2011, the group draws on a rich mix of cultural influences from Africa, the Caribbean and the UK. Their track Kudaushe has become a club favourite worldwide, and they have performed at major festivals including Glastonbury, WOMAD and Boomtown, building a reputation for energetic and immersive live performances.
Support comes from Chiedza, a key figure in Bristol’s underground music scene, known for her genre-spanning DJ sets across amapiano, gqom and afro house. Her dynamic selections and festival appearances have established her as one of the city’s most exciting emerging DJs.
