Run to The Source: Film Screening and Q&A with Athlete, Martin Johnson

Thursday 28th April

Martin Johnson embarks on his most challenging run, as he explores the connection between black British history and the river Thames.

In association with Patagonia we look forward to you joining us for a special screening of The Source. Martin ‘MJ’ Johnson attempts to set a new Fastest Known Time on the 184-mile Thames Path—running from the Thames Barrier in London to the source of the river in the Cotswolds.

What starts as a gruelling and ambitious record-breaking attempt turns into a journey of discovery. He learns both about himself and the entangled history between Black people and the river. Martin hopes his run will encourage more diversity in the sport of trail running and inspire others to get out beyond the city and run.

Martin will join us to introduce the film and for an exclusive Q&A at the end.

We are asking for a £3 minimum donation to Black Trail Runners as they seek to increase the inclusion, participation and representation of Black people in trail running. Your support helps develop the representation of Black runners in trail running, promotes the inclusion and increases participation of Black runners in the outdoors.

All tickets include a complimentary welcome drink on arrival.
