Posters & Portraits
This year’s pack features a striking set of five A1 exhibition posters, each themed to reflect an aspect of Black British culture and history — from protest and heritage to excellence in the arts and the promise of future leadership. These high-impact visuals are designed to transform your space and invite meaningful engagement from all who see them.
Alongside the posters, you’ll receive over 30 beautifully illustrated portraits of Black British men and women, presented in A1, A2, and A4 formats. These artworks honour pioneers and role models across politics, literature, health, education, sport, the arts, faith, and community leadership. Ideal for exhibitions, corridor displays, staffrooms, classrooms, and receptions.
Featured Portrait Series: Black British Icons
This year’s portrait collection begins with an extraordinary line-up of Black British historical and contemporary figures — individuals whose courage, talent, and leadership have helped shape a more just and vibrant society.
Featured figures include civil rights leaders like Paul Stephenson, Olive Morris, and Roy Hackett; political trailblazers such as Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Lord Herman Ouseley, Diane Abbott, and David Lammy; and creative powerhouses like Benjamin Zephaniah, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Malorie Blackman, and Margaret Busby.
Historic legends such as Mary Seacole, Walter Tull, Olaudah Equiano, and Princess Ademola are also honoured, alongside wartime heroes including Johnny Smythe, Ulric Cross, and David Clemetson. The pack also includes spiritual leaders like Rev. Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop Wilfred Wood, and Archbishop John Sentamu, with selected global figures — including Martin Luther King Jr., Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Claudia Jones — adding international context and inspiration.
Six Exhibition Posters
A visually stunning set of five full-colour posters, each one themed around protest, heritage, creativity, leadership, and the future — designed to engage and inspire across every setting.

Power in Protest
From marches and boycotts to courtrooms and communities, these individuals stood firm against injustice. Their courage and activism helped break down barriers and ignite change in British society.
We honour the legacy of those who spoke out — even when it came at great personal cost — and whose protest paved the way for the rights we defend today.
Pride in Our Roots
Black history in Britain didn’t begin with migration — it stretches back centuries. From nurses to navigators, authors to abolitionists, these pioneers carried culture, dignity, and pride through every challenge.
This poster celebrates the strength drawn from heritage — African, Caribbean, and diasporic — and the unshakable pride that continues to shape British identity.

Icons of Influence
These leaders transformed politics, faith, justice, and public life in Britain. They stood firm in their convictions and fought to make society more equal and inclusive for all.
Their presence in Parliament, the pulpit, and public service is a testament to the power of representation — and the legacy of those who opened the door for others to follow.
Black Excellence in the Arts
Through poetry, storytelling, music, publishing, and performance, these figures reshaped the cultural landscape. Their voices gave rhythm to resistance, joy to communities, and pride to a nation.
We honour those who used creativity as a tool for change — speaking truth, preserving memory, and inspiring new generations to find power in expression.
Future in Focus
These changemakers represent the present — and the future. From sport and healthcare to media, education, and politics, their work is shaping a more just and confident Britain.
They remind us that Black excellence is not just part of our past, but a vital force in shaping what comes next.
This is the future — and it stands firm in power and pride.
Service and Sacrifice
A tribute to the Black men and women who served with courage and gave selflessly in times of conflict, duty, and national service.
From the battlefield to the hospital ward, the skies to the courtroom, their stories reflect quiet strength and devotion — often overlooked, but deeply woven into the nation’s history.
We remember their sacrifice not just with gratitude, but with pride. What’s Included in the 2025 Resource Pack
