What was it like to be a Black woman in Victorian England? The lives of Black women were often obscured from historical records, however recent research reveals a broad spectrum of the African presence in 1840s England. Join us for an evening talk that explores the fascinating narratives of four Black women living in the Victorian era, as we travel back in time and reimagine the past.
