Lambeth Heritage Festival – Lambeth Migration Walk

Saturday, 7th September

As part of the Lambeth Heritage Festival, join the Migration Museum for a 3-hour walking tour through Lambeth, as we unpack the layered histories of one of London’s most diverse boroughs.

Lambeth’s settlements grew up along Roman roads and its buildings, streets and squares are steeped in migration history. From Windrush Square to Little Portugal, Venetian glassblowers to Irish railway workers, we will explore the many migration stories – personal and political, past and present – woven into Lambeth’s rich history.

This tour starts in central Brixton and finishes at The Migration Museum in Vauxhall, where you will be invited to join us for a cup of tea and some cake.

Meeting point: next to the African and Caribbean Commonwealth War Memorial, Windrush Square, Brixton, London SW2 1EF
