Baloji At Village Underground

Saturday 28 September

Baloji is an artist in motion; a rapper, songwriter, director, poet, stylist, actor, a man of images and ideas.

The Congo-born, Belgium-based multi-hyphenate Baloji began rapping with a trio in the 90s, which went on to become the world-renowned hip-hop group, Starflam.

Now spanning afrobeats, hip-hop, electro, traditional songs, Congolese rumba, and more, he has earned numerous accolades, including a certified gold album.

His latest album features artists including Sampa The Great, Metronomy, Jamila Woods, Natalie Bergman, José James, and many more, coinciding with his debut full-length feature film.

We proudly present his captivating, deep and powerful performance at Village Underground.
