Gyptian

Friday 1 August

A voice that bridges generations and genres, Gyptian brings his soulful fusion of reggae, R&B and pop to Electric Brixton this July, following a completely sold-out show at our home last year.

Since his breakthrough onto the Jamaican music scene, Gyptian has carved a unique space for himself—one that blends conscious roots reggae with the sensual sway of lovers rock and the infectious pulse of contemporary dancehall. His early single Serious Times became a clarion call for peace and justice, surging to #1 across Jamaica and solidifying his reputation as a thoughtful, message-driven artist.

But it was Hold You—a global anthem soaked in romance and rhythm—that catapulted him to international fame. The track dominated airwaves and clubs alike, while the album of the same name shot to the top of the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, confirming Gyptian as a standout figure in the modern reggae renaissance.

A natural collaborator, he’s brought his signature sound to chart-topping hits alongside artists including Nicki Minaj, Diplo, Shy FX, Major Lazer, and Toddla T, blending cultures and sounds with effortless charisma.

Now, Gyptian returns to London with his unmistakably smooth vocals, magnetic stage presence, and a catalogue of hits that spans romance, resistance, and rhythm. Expect a night of unforgettable energy and sweet Caribbean soul in one of London’s most iconic live music venues.
