African Mask Making for Children

Fri, 23 August 2019 10:30 – 12:30

A mask is an object normally worn on the face, typically for protection, disguise, performance, or entertainment. Masks have been used since antiquity for both ceremonial and practical purposes, as well as in the performing arts and for entertainment.

This workshop will give children an understanding of African culture. Children will have the opportunity to create their own mask to take home. Children will encourage to design a 2D mask on paper and transform the design into a 3D mask, color with acrylic paints, decorate with fabric.

This workshop is for anyone who’s interested in Diverse art and culture. No Prior knowledge or experience is needed. All you need is some enthusiasm to learn something new.

All materials and light refreshments will be provided
