After a three day residency at SIA, Circles By Ashley Scantleburywas born. Simply put, Circles is an explorative piece of performance art and drama that looks to reveal the concept of how young people form links with eachother and indeed how these links are broken. The piece itself was created to engage the community in a new discourse by challenging some of the rationalisations of a modern society. The aim of the writer was to produce a circular script with room for layers of improvised movement, visuals and audio as these elements are indeed soft reminders of the very complex modern society that young people are somehat chained to.
This is the story of four young people who are each recounting the happenings of one day from their individual perspectives.
