Peter Apps and Kwajo Tweneboa: Tackling London’s Housing Crisis, Rebuilding Community

Thursday 16 October

Join Lambeth Libraries for an evening of discussion with two leading writers on the housing crisis facing Londoners.

Peter Apps won the Orwell Prize for his book Show Me The Bodies: How We Let Grenfell Happen. In his new book Homesick he dismantles the sham of UK housing policy with his razor-sharp, stylish, and morally unflinching writing.

Kwajo Tweneboa is a writer, campaigner and activist and has been on the frontline of this housing crisis, highlighting the shocking conditions so many are forced to live with. He knows better than anyone the brutal realities the UK is facing, from the decimation of our welfare services to the rising poverty rates as the cost-of-living crisis continues.

Join Peter and Kwajo to discuss the publication of Peter’s latest book, Homesick, and the impact of the continuing housing crisis for communities.
