Come along to listen to a selection of curated poetry and music on records, and to hear from contemporary poets about their work.
Words on Wax is a series of listening sessions celebrating beloved classics and unearthed gems of the genre, plays new releases, and brings poetry off the page and onto the turntable.
The event also features contemporary poets introducing their work, participating in audience Q&As, and being in discussion with writer and host The Repeat Beat Poet, Peter deGraft-Johnson (Pen-Ting Poetry, Soho Radio, Loose Egusi Afro Disco).
This session, the first of the series, takes place in the intimate setting of the National Poetry Library.
