Young M.A/Tommy Genesis

Saturday 17th Jun 2017 - 7.30pm

Hear Brooklyn’s Young M.A. live as she brings her effortless casual flow and hip-hop style to the UK for the first time. A viral sensation turned bonafide hitmaker, Young M.A.’s current smash hit single ‘OOOUUU’ is tearing up the clubs and crushing streaming records.

Openly lesbian and proud in her identity, Young M.A.’s story is a source of great inspiration. Having overcome tragic loss with the death of her brother, she’s created music that has drawn support from the likes of Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj.

Performing beforehand is Canadian rapper and visual artist Tommy Genesis. Underground rap’s new rebellious queen and a self-confessed fetish rapper, Tommy regularly dresses in schoolgirl attire which she says is her own personal drag, used to crossover into another world. Her music is influenced by the internet, blurring the lines between electronic, hip-hop and multiple other genres, to explore everything from her dreams to sexuality, pain and boredom
