Have you had an idea to start up an event but you’re not sure where to start? Looking for some tips on event promotion, organising and curating?

Join RebeccaNeverBecky founder Rebecca Swarray for a special two part workshop hosted by Slate. Rebecca will be sharing her knowledge on how to start up an event as a Black* artist, discussing her event experiences, offering tips on promotion and keeping your momentum going.

Rebecca is founder, curator and resident DJ of Manchester vibrant arts collective RebeccaNeverBecky and has delivered an array of Manchester events over the last 18 months. Events that specifically platform LGBT+, QTIPOC, BAME and womxn of colour artists, creatives, performer and DJs. She will share her valuable insight into organising and setting up events, to help you strengthen your events programming and expand your reach.
