Grab a drink and join us for an evening with CJ Lloyd Webley as he explores the concepts of time and space in scriptwriting.

 

CJ Lloyd Webley is a multi-award winning writer, producer and activist; his career spans creative arts, business and social justice initiatives. His work has been widely recognised by BBC ONE, ITV, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4.

CJ’s theatre practice involves socially engaged and participatory work. He is Lead Artist for Lightpost Theatre Company at the Birmingham Rep, a programme to support the mental well-being of young people and address the effects of racism, discrimination, negative self-image and invisibility. CJ provides employment opportunities to members through his social enterprise, The Black Pounds Project which is a business education, PR, publishing and Mentoring community.

The Scriptwriters Series is part of 37 Plays, our latest collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company – an ambitious and ground-breaking new playwriting project that seeks to capture and write the stories of our nation.
