Royal Holloway Black Creatives Award Evening 2023

Join the Royal Holloway Widening Access team on the 13th February 2023 to celebrate young, Black & Mixed- Black heritage creatives

 

The Royal Holloway Widening Access team invites staff, students and alumni from across the university to join us in celebrating the first Black Creatives Award!

The Royal Holloway Black Creatives Awards is a creative competition for Black and Mixed Black heritage students studying at state funded schools. The purpose of the award is to celebrate and champion young creative talent.

The awards evening will take place at the Caryl Churchill Theatre, Egham. We will be showcasing all the shortlisted submissions and a panel of industry experts will select a winner and runners up for the KS3 & KS4/5 competition.

There will also be a panel discussion featuring:

  • Sophia Oshodin (Artist)
  • Timoni Longe (Movement Artist)
  • Princess Ashilokun (Poet and Writer)
  • Jessica Magaye (Writer and Director)
  • Fabiola Bonnot (Actor)

Timings:

• Doors open at 18:15

• Event starts 18:45

• Event ends 20:45

There will be light refreshment provided on the night.
