This edition of the Creole Day Festival will be the toughest, yet the most exhilarating one to showcase ; the challenges youths face today and how role models influence youth strategies for success will be at the heart of the discussion.

The multilingual thought-provoking guest of honour Marcel Mballa will lead 3 mini- workshops ;

1- The role model within; How good are we at identifying ourselves as role models?

2- Brexit; How do clans survive?

3- The household of the future. Essential Vs Emotional

The other guest speakers will be;
– Professor Ananya Jahanara Kabir -Modern Moves /A Caribbean love affair
– Nathalie Saint Marck – A journey to self-empowerment
– Wilford Marcus – The Haitian Chamber of Commerce

The event will also be attended by a wide variety of writers, poets, artists, singers, dancers and other talented entertainers.

1-Anthony Cookson – Writer of “The Man Who Came to London”
The Jamaican teacher and author wrote the book to highlight the Caribbean culture and the contribution of Caribbean people to British society.

2-Ingrid Dover-Vidal – Author, Teacher, Caribbean songstress, guitarist and recently published performance poet will be reading from her book, then there is a chance to take part in a poetry performance. Ingrid was born in Guyana.

3-Tibio – The Guadeloupean Reggae Music Artists, Dancer and Facilitator will delight us with his vocals.

4-Amora – Dance Teacher from both Reunion and Madagascar will initiate us to a dance which originated from the ritual music of Madagascar and the mainland of Africa; Sega.
