International Book Giving Day meets African Kings & Queens

Fri, 14 February 2020 18:30 – 20:30

Come join Razana Afrika (formerly African Queen project) in celebrating International Book Giving Day

About this Event
Empowering a child in the community with a book.

14th February is International Book Giving Day and we would like to celebrate with stories from great African kings and queens. The African Queen exhibition will be on display on the evening. Children will have the opportunity to take home a free book (first come first served).

We are fundraising to buy the books to give away to the children. If you are able to support, please visit our fundraising page. Alternatively, if you would like to donate a book rather than make a direct donation, please bring the book at the event or contact us to find out where to drop your book donation. We are particularly welcoming books about African history or by black authors or representing children from the community.
