Les Amazones D’afrique

Sunday 26th June

Les Amazones D’Afrique are the revolutionary, forward-thinking creative force that encapsulates the very essence of modern African music.

Bringing richly melodic and far-ranging blends of pan-African styles, Les Amazones embrace international voice in their musical expression. Collaborative harmonies meet gritty, contemporary pop and Congotronics-esque production.

Formed by three renowned Malian stars in 2014, their sound resonates globally through shared experience as group expansion gave space to host more female artists from across the African diaspora.

Their 2017 release, Republique Amazones, has a song featured in Obama’s favourite songs of the year playlist. Previous shows have been triumphant displays of powerful duets and exuberant harmony vocals. Expect similar to ensue when they join us this June.
