Roni Size

Friday 29 August

We are thrilled to announce a very special night at The Jazz Cafe, as we welcome none other than Bristol’s own godfather of jungle and drum & bass—Roni Size.

A pioneering force in the UK underground scene for over two decades, Roni Size has been instrumental in shaping the sound of British electronic music. From his Mercury Prize-winning work with Reprazent to his genre-defining solo releases, he remains a true innovator—effortlessly blending breakbeat, jazz, funk, and deep basslines into his unmistakable DnB sound.

His revolutionary approach in the 1990s not only pushed the boundaries of what drum & bass could be, but also paved the way for generations of artists to follow. Roni’s influence continues to ripple through club culture and festival stages around the world, with his signature high-energy sets as exhilarating now as they were at the peak of the jungle movement.

This is a rare and intimate opportunity to witness one of the undisputed legends of UK dance music up close, in the iconic surroundings of Camden’s historic Jazz Cafe. Expect rolling bass, relentless rhythm, and a masterclass in the art of drum & bass from one of its founding fathers.
