More than a milestone in jazz, Kind of Blue is a defining document of twentieth century music, one of those incredibly rare works of art that achieve equal popularity among musicians, critics and the public at large.

Even if you’ve never owned a copy of this classic album it’s tunes have become part of the global soundscape and you’ll instantly recognize “So What”, “Freddie Freeloader”, “Blue in Green”, “All Blues” and “Flamenco Sketches” as old friends.

Highly innovative at the time of its release Kind of Blue has widely influenced subsequent music, including jazz, rock, and classical genres.

Tony Kofi is the UK’s leading alto saxophonist and one of the few UK artists to have recorded in New York.
He’s joined in this band by Freddie Gavita-trumpet, Alex Garnett-tenor saxophone, James Pearson-piano, Sam Burgess-bass and Chris Higginbottom- drums, who all play regularly at Ronnie Scott’s.
