Markel Scott, otherwise known as Bishop Nehru is an American rapper and producer, famed for bringing a fresh sound to the hip hop table. Leading music magazine Rolling Stone have praised his work as being a hip hop Pet Sounds with a “penchant for wide-eyed lyricism”.
Bishop Nehru released his first music at aged 16 a mixtape entitled Nehruvia in 2012 it featured him rapping over beats by Dj Premier, Madlib, J Dilla and MF Doom. Another mixtape later and Bishop Nehru was working with MF Doom NehruvianDoom was released in 2014 and propelled him into the public eye. This New York rapper is embarking on an extensive uk tour.
