African Drumming Circle for under 18yrs (Artsmark)

Monday 26th September

A monthly African drumming circle for young people under 18yrs. Learn to count time and develop your natural sense of rhythm.

Abass Dodoo is a professional musician, a trained Arts Award Advisor and a DBS certified music teacher specialising in the ancient African drumming rhythms and African time cycles. With a unique teaching style he works with young people all ages and abilities, to help them develop their sense of rhythm and learn to count time.

In collaboration with One-Drum Foundation, a UK charity with registration number 1185202, a registered Arts Council Artsmark partner and a registered Trinity College Arts Award provider.

These monthly sessions are free to attend on a first-come, first-served drop-in basis. Subject to grant funding, we are hoping to run these workshops more frequently if the young people are keen for more regular sessions.
