Ayanna Witter-Johnson

Saturday 8th June

The composer, cellist and singer recruits UK theatre pioneers and the sounds of lovers rock in a night of new music, reworked classics and storytelling.

Exploring the rich musical legacy of her Jamaican heritage, Ayanna Witter-Johnson draws on UK lovers rock music, the energy of soundman culture, and her discovery of classical music as she presents a theatrical collaboration.

The performance also features cameos from Witter-Johnson’s family and friends.

This performance is part of our Purcell Sessions.
