NEHANDA: NORA CHIPAUMIRE
SATURDAY 1 - SATURDAY 8 MAY 4PM
In this apocalyptic atmosphere the old fashioned, anitquated medium of radio was allowed a return, this serialised radio broadcast inspired by Nehanda, a Zimbabwean spirit of the Shona people, who through the bodies of Nyamhita, Mazviona and Charwe Nyakasikana, led the first revolt against the British rule. Co-produced by casa encendida (Madrid), Lincoln Center (NYC) and nora chipaumire.
