FREE online training sessions for teachers, governors and anyone working in a school environment.

Over the past 10 months, Community Action Sutton has been facilitating a Black Lives Matter working group focusing on furthering EDI in the borough. As part of this work, the BLM education sub group has been exploring how schools in Sutton can embed a diverse and unifying curriculum throughout all they do

We are pleased to have secured funding to host two FREE online training sessions for teachers, governors and anyone working in a school environment.

The training will cover

Leadership – Establishing a racially literate culture and community

Learning – Decolonising curriculum and pedagogy; embedding Black history

Language – Enriching racial literacy, intersectional empathy and inclusion

The training will be delivered by Black Curriculum a social enterprise that aims to deliver black British history all across the UK.
