The Windrush generation are celebrating 74th year since the empire Windrush arrive in Britain and to celebrate this Rising Stars(us) are organising a event at Stockport Central Library starting at 2pm on the 18th of June.

This event is in partnership with Inspired Histories Founder, Linford Sweeney who is a historian, genealogist and campaigner who specialise in Black history. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the history of Windrush, ask questions, share experiences and a space for people in the community to

come together and celebrate.
