Black Men-Talk Health: Wellness & Mental Health for African-Caribbean Men

Wednesday 7 October 2026

Black Men-Talk Health is a supportive community event created to encourage open and honest conversations about mental health, wellbeing and personal growth among African and Caribbean men. Organised by The U Collective, the evening provides a safe and welcoming environment where participants can share experiences, build connections and explore practical approaches to improving emotional wellbeing.

The programme includes networking, facilitated discussion and interactive sessions exploring masculinity, identity, resilience and the importance of community support. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences while learning from others in an atmosphere built on trust, respect and mutual encouragement.

Hosted at the University of Westminster’s Cavendish Campus, Black Men-Talk Health forms part of an ongoing series designed to improve awareness of mental health within African and Caribbean communities and challenge the stigma that can prevent men from seeking support.

Created specifically for men of African and Caribbean heritage, the event offers a valuable opportunity to build meaningful connections, strengthen wellbeing and become part of a growing community committed to supporting one another through conversation, understanding and shared experience.
