Lafiya Lounge is an event to discuss general and mental health in black settings, network, play games and challenge stigma!
A lot of taboos and misconceptions leave black people at more risk of becoming ill, less likely to seek help and more likely to face discrimination when receiving help. This event is designed to provide a space for open discussions, education and networking.
There will be a series of mental/general health professionals sharing their expertise, people living with common illnesses sharing their perspectives and some crowd-warming games to set the tone of the evening. Everyone of all backgrounds is welcome to attend but the content of the event will be centred around mental and physical health education for African and Caribbean people aged 18-30.
Please be on time to enjoy the best of the night!
Food and drinks will be available at the bar/restaurant.
Please come with with your ID and ticket at hand.
Please note: by purchasing a ticket, you will also become a subscriber to www.lafiyahealth.co.uk for updates on our latest posts and the chance to buy tickets prior to non-subscribers.
