The Oratory London Premiere

Wednesday 25 September - Thursday 26 September 2021

THE ORATORY, an inspirational film with a Catholic undertone comes to London, as the next stop on its global premiere roadshow.

Rev. Fr. Michael Simmons, (Rich Lowe Ikenna) is an American Catholic priest sent from Turin, Italy to a posh parish in Ikoyi, Lagos.

On arrival, the young, stubborn priest becomes more interested in the plights of street children from the nearby slum called Makoko. However, to reach the desperate boys, he has to step on big toes in his host parish. He must also comfront Shuga, the dangerous Makoko kingpin who has the street boys locked in criminal servitude.

Drawing inspiration from St. John Bosco (1815 – 1888) and the Salesian missionaries, Fr. Michael must put everything, including his own personal safety, on the line in order to set up The Oratory and find his life’s purpose in a strange and precarious environment.
