Frances Mensah Williams – From Pasta to Pigfoot

Thursday 1st October

Ghanaian-born author Frances Mensah Williams will talk about her life, the inspiration behind her first novel From Pasta to Pigfoot and the challenges for diversity in British fiction. As Chief Executive of Interims for Development Ltd, she has successfully assisted businesses and organisations across Africa and is the author of several non-fiction titles. From Pasta to Pigfoot is a light-hearted exploration of the clash of cultures and is familiar to those who have first-hand experience of straddling two worlds. In the book, Faye’s visit to Ghana depicts successful urban middle class professionals navigating the challenges between traditional and contemporary Africa.
