Windrush Adventures is a joyful, interactive performance specially created for children aged 3 to 7, blending original and traditional songs, rhymes, and movement to spark young imaginations.
Running for approximately 35 minutes, the show invites children and their families on a musical journey that explores the spirit of the Windrush story in a playful, age-appropriate way.
As part of the very first North Chingford Heritage Festival, this family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to introduce younger audiences to themes of heritage, migration, and celebration through engaging storytelling and lively participation. With plenty of chances to sing, move, and join in, little ones will be drawn into the adventure from the very first moment.
Following the performance, families can take part in a hands-on craft activity inspired by Windrush culture. Children will have the chance to create something special to take home, deepening their connection to the story and encouraging creative expression.
The event takes place at Mornington Hall, which will open its doors from 12:00pm. Ticket holders must arrive by 12:20pm to guarantee entry. After that time, any remaining spaces will be offered to walk-up visitors on a first come, first served basis.
This delightful event is perfect for families looking to enjoy an uplifting and meaningful cultural experience together. With music, movement and crafts, Windrush Adventures promises to be a highlight of the festival for young children and their grown-ups alike.
